Skilled SLP provides home-based services to children via tele-therapy. Telepractice is the use of technology to deliver speech language pathology services at a distance by linking clinician to client for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation. Your child will receive quality, interactive sessions from the comfort of your home.
Many families desire to supplement their child's school-based services with private therapy. Your speech- language pathologist will evaluate your child to determine your child's current speech- language abilities. Evaluation findings will be reviewed with you and based upon your child's needs, a treatment plan will be developed. HOW IT WORKS
EVALUATION
The Speech- Language Pathologist will evaluate your child's speech- language development to determine your child's current communication skills and abilities. Information will be gathered from you (the parent/ caregiver) to gain input of your child's communication skills in the home environment. If your child has been recently evaluated by his/ her school, you may provide a copy of the school evaluation or Individualized Educational Plan. Formal and informal evaluation findings will be interpreted to determine if your child demonstrates a speech- language delay.

TREATMENT PLAN
Based upon your child's speech evaluation results, a treatment plan will be developed. This plan will identify targeted speech therapy goals and objectives based upon your child's present communication skills. We treat a variety of communication disorders. Communication practice at home is an essential component to your child's progress and we will educate you, the parents, every step of the way.

TELETHERAPY
Skilled SLP is proud to offer teletherapy services. Teletherapy is provided via face-to- face live video- conferencing utilizing a secure platform. Speech therapy is provided to your child in the comfort of your home.
Once the treatment plan is developed and discussed with you, your child's speech therapy sessions will be scheduled. Sessions are interactive and your child can participate from any device ( i.e., computer, tablet, phone). Speech Teletherapy has proven to be an effective mode of therapy delivery and many patients enjoy the interactive sessions.
